ME3-AsH₃ Arsenide Gas Sensor
The ME3-AsH₃ arsine electrochemical element operates based on electrochemical principles. It utilizes the electrochemical oxidation of the analyte gas at the working electrode in an electrolytic cell. Electronic circuitry maintains the working and reference electrodes at a constant potential, allowing the analyte gas to undergo electrochemical oxidation. Since the Faraday current generated during the oxidation and reduction reactions of oxygen is negligible, the current produced by the electrochemical reaction of the analyte gas is directly proportional to its concentration and follows Faraday's law. Therefore, the concentration of the analyte gas can be determined by measuring the current.
