Electrochemical gas sensors
SME-CO carbon monoxide sensor
The SME-CO sensor is a constant-potential electrolytic carbon monoxide gas sensor. Carbon monoxide and oxygen undergo corresponding oxidation and reduction reactions on the working electrode and counter electrode, respectively, releasing charges to form an electrolytic current. The magnitude of the current is directly proportional to the carbon monoxide concentration, and the carbon monoxide concentration can be determined by measuring the current magnitude.
